SOUTH Yorkshire Police’s off-road bike team are encouraging residents to let councillors know of any nuisance riders.
On Friday, the team were on patrol on Lundwood and food the football fields were more of a ‘raceway’ than a space for people to enjoy.
Officers spoke with local councillors about the issues and they’re now asking residents to come forward with their views and any sightings.
A spokesperson added: “We chatted with local councillors who have been taking reports from residents of their frustration with motorbikes up an down dodging their dogs whilst walking on the green spaces.
“Who are they? They must live next to someone. Let us know and we will pay them a visit.
“If you experience this problem on your patch then report online, let your councillors know that they can request our patrols on your patch through the local neighbourhood policing team.”
