A SCHOOL’S partnership with a local football club has resulted in a new playing field opening.
Elsecar Holy Trinity joined forces with Elsecar Main Junior Football Club to ensure that pupils have the facilities they need to get active.
Stephanie Peacock, the MP for Barnsley South, visited the field.
She said: “I was pleased to attend the newly-opened school field at Elsecar Holy Trinity Primary School.
“It is really important that pupils have the facilities they need to be able to stay active and engage in sport.
“It is brilliant that Elsecar Main JFC have partnered with the school to make sure this can happen.
“I know that this new facility will mean a lot to the children who attend the school.”
