THERE'S still time to to have your say on plans that could help ease congestion along a busy road to the town centre.
The A61 Wakefield Road scheme proposes to widen the carriageway between Old Mill Lane bridge and Carlton Road, provide additional traffic lanes, and create a new bus lane.
The plans are still under consultation until tomorrow for local residents to have their say about the plans.
Coun Tim Cheetham, cabinet spokesperson for regeneration and culture, said: “Sustainability is one of our key priorities as we are working towards improved public transport and increased opportunities for active travel.
“A61 improvements will provide these opportunities and help us achieve our Zero 40/45 carbon reduction ambitions by improving traffic.
“Everyone's feedback is crucial, and we encourage residents to get involved and have their say on the scheme.”
