A TEN-month investigation into a ‘problem property’ in Monk Bretton has come to an end following the granting of a closure order.
The Barnsley Central Neighbourhood Policing Team successfully secured the three-month closure order at Barnsley Magistrates’ Court for a property on Falmouth Close.
The team had investigating the property for ten months, acting on complaints from residents, which uncovered evidence of the use of class A drugs.
PC Neil Crossland said: “There have been a number of reports of drug activity and nuisance behaviour at this property for some time.
“The closure of the property is really positive for the community and I hope they can now feel safe and assured that we will continue to put a stop to this kind of behaviour.”
