A COMMUNITY cinema will be returning to Elsecar to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Barnsley classic film, Kes.
The Futurist Cinema - based at Milton Hall - will be presenting the event in partnership with the Dearne Valley Landscape Partnership and will also be showing a short film called Of The River, which looks at the changing landscape of the Dearne over the past 50 years.
In addition, artist Patrick Murphy will be exhibiting Kes 50 artwork and will gift some limited edition prints to audience members as a souvenir of the event.
