THE countdown to Barnsley's Christmas light switch on has begun - and so we have created this handy guide to tell you all you need to know.
The event - on Wednesday November 18 - will feature princesses and superheroes and will kick off with a sing-a-long at 5pm. The planned firework display has been cancelled due to forecast high winds.
Henry Gallagher - who appeared on Britain's Got Talent - will also perform
The light switch on will happen at 6pm outside the town hall by the princesses and superheroes.
