A CORDON was put in place after a suspicious package was reported to the police.
Officers were called to a business premises on Waterside Park, Valley Way, Wombwell at 11.40am on Friday morning.
It was reported a suspicious package containing an unknown substance had been delivered to the premises.
Emergency services attended and a cordon was put in place while enquiries were carried out. It has now been established that the substance was not harmful.
Police have launched a criminal investigation to establish the identity of the person who sent the package.
