A THIEF who has been banned from multiple Barnsley businesses has been given a community order.
Lee Turton, of Pontefract Road, Barnsley, was prohibited from entering Poundland, Morrisons, Asda and Tesco having pleaded guilty to stealing washing machine detergent and alcohol. The 44-year-old was told to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work.
A DRINK-DRIVER has been handed a 26-month ban. Michael Thacker, of Southfield Road, Cudworth, was caught driving a Nissan Juke on January 25. Having been stopped on Darfield Road, Cudworth, he had 108mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The 34-year-old was banned and fined £1,104.
A MAN who resided in Cudworth has been extradited to France. Antonio Dumitru, of Jackson Street, was arrested for aiding and abetting illegal entry. The 25-year-old was wanted by authorities in France and the extradition was granted at Westminster Magistrates’ Court, London.
A SERIAL thief has been jailed for four months. David Heeley, of Midland Road, Royston, stole meat, cheese, butter and washing detergent from his local Co-op. The 50-year-old was jailed having ‘not complied’ with previous court orders.
