A BARNSLEY business has donated hundreds of pounds to Barnley Hospice by selling surplus marble.
Phoenix Worktops sold the surplus marble as charity chopping boards for £20.
A hospice spokesperson said: “We’d like to thank husband and wife team Andy and Katie Moxon – and all the team at Phoenix Worktops – for their kindness in donating £500 to Barnsley Hospice.
“The team came up with a lovely way to support us by selling surplus marble from any jobs undertaken as ‘Charity Chopping Boards’.
“Priced at £20 each, they plan on selling them until breaking up for Christmas – so they make an ideal Christmas gift!
“Huge thank you to all of the team at Phoenix Worktops and to all of their generous customers, too.”
