A TALK on the history of women and girls who worked in the mines will take place this week.
It will be held at Worsbrough Library on Friday, between 5.30pm and 7.30pm.
A spokesperson said: “We will examine the life of the female miner in the nineteenth century through to the outbreak of the Great War, both at work and away from it.”
