THE Mayor of Barnsley took a special trip to a dementia-friendly lunch which is helping people stay social.
The Music Makes Memories Friendship Lunch at Shaw Lane on Tuesday saw guests treated to a buffet and entertainment from local musicians Oliver Harris and Alison Melling.
In attendance was Mayor and Mayoress John and Doreen Clarke, who took time to chat with guests and enjoy the entertainment.
Performer Oliver is already preparing for his next show, as he is set to play at the Superjam Tea Party on September 30 at Dodworth’s Holiday Inn.
