CITIZENS’ Advice Barnsley marked 60 years’ work this week with a special event in the town centre.
The charity celebrated the milestone achievement at the Library @ the Lightbox, where staff were joined by other local charitable groups like Barnsley Hospice and DIAL.
Organisers hoped the event wouldn’t just function as a way to celebrate, but also allow them to build connections with other groups and help point attendees to places where they could get help.
Chief executive Jo Clark said: “It’s gone really well.
“There are lots of really good conversations going on between different organisations – we wanted to include everyone in our celebrations.
“We’re always working closely with different organisations for the benefit of our clients and their clients as well.
“It’s all about sharing knowledge and joining up the dots.”
