THE North East Ward Alliance is on the hunt for more members – and residents are being urged to get involved.
Each year, the membership of ward alliances are reviewed – with this year’s review stating six new members are needed.
The number of residents from Shafton has already hit its target, but two are needed from Brierley, three from Great Houghton and one from Grimethorpe are needed.
A spokesperson for the ward alliance said: “Are you passionate about where you live?
“Are you able to commit to at least six meetings per year?
“Do you want to be part of the decision making process on how funding is spent in your local area?
“The ward alliance are looking for new members.
“If you would like to observe a meeting prior to joining or need more information please email darrylhand@barnsley.gov.uk.”
