THE amount of money each ward alliance in the Central ward of Barnsley have to spend over the next year has been revealed.
Each ward alliance is handed an allocation of £10,000 each year, though they also bring forward any unspent cash from the previous 12-month period.
The Central Ward Alliance brought over a total of £8,832 meaning they have more than £18,000 to spend on community groups and projects.
They have already handed over £780 to Barnsley Table Tennis Club.
The Dodworth Ward Alliance has made a secretary payment of £125 meaning they have £10,250 to spend this year.
Kingstone Ward Alliance is yet to hand over any money, leaving them with a total budget of £12,535.
Stairfoot Ward Alliance has brought over a total of £4,673 and subsequently have just less than £15,000 to spend.
Whilst the Worsbrough Ward Alliance – which has already spent more than £2,000 on groups such as Sustrans and the Worsbrough Wives Group – has £11,356 to spend.
