October's Superjam was another success as the charity welcomed a first-time guest.
The Get Together Superjam – which took place on October 24 – brought people together for a day out, with food and entertainment.
This event saw a performance from Paul Anthony, and a special guest appearance from Tracy Hughes of Healthwatch Barnsley, who visited for the first time.
Tracy said: “What a wonderful atmosphere in a room full of smiles.
“An afternoon where spirits are lifted and friendships forged.
“The monthly Superjam is an opportunity not to be missed, especially as we approach the colder and darker months of the year.
“Well done to everyone who makes this such a memorable event.”
The next event will be on November 21, however organisers are looking to collect sponsorships for the upcoming Christmas Superjam.
Kathy Markwick, freelance community consultant, added: “It was a pleasure to have Tracy as a special guest who relayed very important messages regarding adult safeguarding.
“We are extremely grateful to our principal sponsors, Holiday Inn Barnsley, Haywood and Padgett’s Bakery, GXO, Visiting Angels South Yorkshire and Music Makes Memories.
“If anyone would like to sponsor the Christmas Superjam on Tuesday December 19 any support would be very much appreciated.”
Sponsorship starts from just £50 – to book in for an event or to discuss sponsorship contact Kathy on 07729 528844 or kathymarkwick@gmail.com.
