A TOWN centre gallery will showcase local photographers’ work in a new exhibition.
Barnsley: Portrait of a Town – displayed at the Civic – will remain in situ until July 22.
Sean O'Connell and Adam Summerscales, both from Barnsley, and Amelia Boston, from Doncaster, were commissioned with portraying their unique perspectives of the town and South Yorkshire, culminating in a multi-faceted of the place they call home.
Elizabeth Dickinson, gallery curator at the Civic, said: "It is an interesting time to live and work in Barnsley.
"We seem to be at such a huge moment of cultural shift, with such dramatic changes to the physical, social and economic landscape of the town.
"It seems like such a poignant time to stop and reflect on this, and this is what Barnsley: Portrait of a Town aims to do.
"The photographers that we've commissioned are from a newer generation that is trying to make sense of the places we call home.”
