A COMMUNITY consultation on a new strategy for the town centre is now open.
Barnsley Council is asking for residents’ views on the design and sustainability strategy which works towards the town centre being zero carbon.
A spokesperson for the council said: “The draft strategy has been prepared by award-winning design and research consultancy Urbed and is an exciting opportunity to consider the future of Barnsley town centre.
“The strategy suggests measures for post-Covid recovery and looks at future trends.
