SELF-EMPLOYED workers across Barnsley whose business has been hit by the coronavirus pandemic can now claim a grant worth more than £6,500.
The grant is the final hand-out from the Employment Income Support Scheme and is set to help protect people's livelihoods across the borough.
Those who are eligible need to prove that their income has been adversely hit by the virus since July 14.
This includes if a business has fewer customers because of coronavirus, or if a self-employed person has been unable to work because they are shielding.
The grant is worth £6,570 and will not be eligible for directors, freelancers, and those who are newly self-employed.
