THE DAUGHTER of a life-long Barnsley fan is asking supporters to spare a minute in Sunday's game to applaud him.
Phil Elrington - landlord of the BFC social club and The Mount - died on Sunday. His daughter Sue has taken to social media to ask fans attending Sunday's game to hold a minute's applause for him in the 65th minute.
In her post on Facebook, she said: "Could you please help honour and celebrate his life at Sunday's game by holding a minutes applause on the 65th minute (he was 65 years old).
"It would mean a lot to me, my family and most of all, my Dad."
