WITNESSES have been sought following a life-threatening collision in Barnsley.

At around 3.10pm on April 17, it's reported that a white Honda XR125 motorcycle and a silver Ford Focus were in collision near to the junction with Hanover Square and Grange Street in Thurnscoe.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 27-year-old man, has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Nobody was in the Focus at the time of the incident.

Witnesses to the collision should call South Yorkshire Police quoting incident number 588 of April 17.
