A BARNSLEY couple celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last week.
Victor Kitchen, 86, originally from Royston, and Margaret, 89, from Staincross, met at a dance.
They married in 1950 after regularly walking more than two-and-a-half miles to see each other. They have lived on East Pinfold, Royston, since 1961 and went on to have four children, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
They were planning to celebrate their anniversary in Blackpool - the couple's favourite place - but have had to postpone their regular visits due to a bout of poor health.
Instead, they marked the day with a quiet celebration.
