A GOLDTHORPE road was closed after a man threatened to injure himself.
Police were called to the Jobcentre building on High Street at 4.15pm on March 27.
Officers attended and spoke to the man, with negotiators also in attendance.
A police spokesperson said: "There were other members of staff in the shop but no threats were made to them.
"The road was closed to traffic and pedestrians between the junctions of Lesley Road and Barnburgh Lane.
"The incident was resolved and the man was arrested for a public order offence. He was not injured."
