A LOCAL visitor attraction is holding a litter pick and taster volunteer session at the weekend.
Elsecar Heritage Centre is inviting people along to meet new people and try something new.
A spokesperson said: “Thought about volunteering? Why not join us on Saturday March 29 for a taster volunteer session! It will be a great chance to meet new people and try out something new.
“Starting at 12 noon and running till 2pm, we will be running a litter pick around the village of Elsecar starting from the Visitor Centre.
“We will also share information about our volunteer projects and the amazing work that has been taking place with Skills & Employability at Barnsley Council. The new scheme has helped to offer many volunteers the opportunity to access key skills and training, such as first aid and functional skills, (maths, english or digital skills).”
