LOCAL police officers have warned that if anti-social behaviour incidents continue they will look to take tenancy action in conjunction with Berneslai Homes.
A Barnsley North East NPT spokesperson said: “In the last few weeks we have received numerous reports in relation to young people behaving in an anti-social manner in Grimethorpe, particularly around the ASDA area.
“We are working with Berneslai Homes to take tenancy action against those who are involved.
“We have issued a number of youths with the following: One Youth Conditional Caution; two Acceptable Behaviour Contracts; three ASB warning letter 1; four ASB warning letter 2
and two referrals into the Youth Offending Team.
“We will continue to monitor the anti-social behaviour and should the same individuals continue to offend we will look to take the appropriate escalation with Berneslai Homes and other agencies.”
