LATEST food hygiene ratings have seen mixed results for local establishments.
Both Costa Coffee, at Stairfoot, and The Botanist in the town centre were given a five-star score following an assessment on November 21.
Seven Barnsley pubs have also been handed five-star food hygiene ratings.
The Commercial Inn and The Old Number 7, both in and around the town centre, received the top score.
As did Barrow WMC in Worsbrough Bridge, Mapplewell’s Talbot Inn, Ward Green WMC, The Crown and Anchor in Barugh Green and Elsecar’s The Crown Inn.
While Raja Express, in Market Kitchen, was given a score of four as was Yorkshire Chippy, based on Pontefract Road in Lundwood.
Cudworth’s Yung’s Chop Suey House, on Barnsley Road, was handed a score of one on the same day.
