ONE of the most recognisable voices in the world will return to his roots for an ‘audience with’ event later this year.
Veteran actor Brian Blessed, 87, was born in Mexborough and grew up on Probert Avenue, Goldthorpe.
Brian, whose famous roles include Augustus in ‘I, Claudius’, King Richard IV in Blackadder and Prince Vultan in Flash Gordon, received an OBE for services to the arts and charity in 2016.
He will now return for an audience with event at the Empress Ballroom in Mexborough.
The event will be held on Friday, October 25 and tickets can be found on the ballroom’s website.
