PLANNING ROUND-UP: Retrospective planning permission is being sought to convert a former bookies into a tanning salon.
The former Coral bookmakers, on Market Place in Cudworth, was turned into a salon last month though no application was submitted to the council’s planning board.
A total of four neighbours have been made aware of the current plans with no appeals to date. Public consultation ends on August 20.
PLANS to build a new bungalow in Bolton-upon-Dearne have been approved by Barnsley Council. An application for the new property to be built on Beechfield Close was originally submitted in October. These plans were given the green light by the council’s planning board last week.
PLANS to remove a 15-metre-high monopole in Redbrook and replace it with an even larger one have been approved by the council. AN application for a sandwich shop to increase its opening hours has been approved by the council. Appleyard’s Sandwich Shop, on Towngate in Mapplewell. will now be allowed to open until 11pm. Plans were originally submitted to the council’s planning board on May 31. They were given the green light last week.
