SEVERAL roads around the area will be closed over the coming weeks due to roadworks.
Carriageway resurfacing work will take place on Nicholas Lane, Goldthorpe from today (Tuesday) for approximately four days.
A road closure will be in place each day between Barnsley Road and the Household Waste Recycling Centre from 8am to 5pm. The road will re-open after 5pm.
The works will include replacement of the worn carriageway and installation of new road markings. Traffic diversions will be in place.
MOTORISTS have been warned to expect delays overnight in Staincross this week. From 7pm tonight until 6am the following morning, Darton Lane will be closed. Yorkshire Water are undertaking works at the site.
A ROAD in Hoyland Common will be closed for resurfacing work too. From today until Friday, Skiers View Road – from West Street to Springwood Road – will be closed whilst Barnsley Council undertake works. Motorists have been told to expect delays.
A CARLTON road will be closed overnight next month. From 7pm until 11pm on June 3, Industry Road will be closed whilst Yorkshire Water undertake works. Motorists have been told to expect delays.
