STAFF at the hospital are urging people not to forget about cancer screening appointments, even during the pandemic.
Barnsley Hospital tweeted in support of Cervical Cancer Prevention Week, which runs throughout this week and aims to help people to reduce the risk of cervical cancer and find out how to get screened for it.
Despite the lasting effects of the pandemic, staff want to remind the public to continue to attend the vital appointments – which could help detect cancer early.
A spokesperson for the hospital said: “We understand that we are in uncertain times, but we can't stress enough how important it is to attend your screening appointments when you are invited.”
