POLICE have arrested four people following a serious assault that has left a man in a critical condition.
Yesterday, at around 6.55pm, a 32-year old man was taken to hospital with a serious head injury after being found outside a property on Houghton Road, Thurnscoe.
He remains in hospital in a critical condition.
A 36-year-old man, a 34-year-old man, and two 15-year-old boys have been arrested on suspicion of assault and remain in police custody.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “A scene is in place in the Houghton Road area and this is expected to remain for some time to allow officers to carry out initial enquiries.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who may hold information about what happened to the man yesterday afternoon, or who may hold information that could be relevant to the ongoing enquiry.”
