A HOUSING estate is set for a major makeover with £300,000 set aside to address residents' concerns.
The Aldham House estate in Wombwell will receive the cash boost after Berneslai Homes received feedback and comments from its tenants about external environmental issues.
A spokesperson said: "A budget of £300,000 has been made available in the Housing Revenue Capital Programme 2015-16 to address some of these issues, making the area a more attractive and safer place to live.
"We will continue to work with the community to develop and plan the work which will follow later this year."
