A BRUTAL gangland kneecapping has led Scottish police to a house in Barnsley.
Officers from across the border were camped at a bungalow on Strafford Walk, Dodworth, all last week.
Neighbours have been told by detectives carrying out door-to-door enquiries that the man who was living there had been the victim of a "horrendous crime" in Glasgow on March 13.
The victim, who has not been named, was left fighting for his life after the attack but a few days later was said to be 'stable'. He has been under police guard at a hospital in Glasgow.
DCI Gary Boyd said: "Enquires so far have revealed that an address in Barnsley may be of significance in light of these enquiries which are ongoing at present."
South Yorkshire Police is assisting Police Scotland with their enquiries in Barnsley.
