UMPIRE legend Dickie Bird has opened a new £5 million care home in Mapplewell that will specialise in dementia care.
Dickie, who lives in the neighbouring village of Staincross, attended the official opening of Mapplewell Manor, on Greenside Avenue, on Wednesday.
Ninety full and part-time new jobs have been created.
