A DRINK driver who had £5,000 worth of drugs in his car's boot has been given a suspended jail term.

George McKenzie, 52, was arrested after being seen 'driving erratically' on Cemetery Road, Barnsley, near midnight on October 10.

Police discovered he was a street dealer breaking down quantities of drugs and selling them on.

The Kendray man had m-cat worth between £1,970 and £3,940, depending on how it was sold, as well as 3,500 diazepam tablets and 26.8g of cannabis.

Sheffield Crown Court heard he had been convicted of 28 previous offences, including supplying cannabis in January 2010.

He was given a 12-month jail term suspended for 18 months, supervision for a year and a three-month night-time curfew.
