MORE Barnsley parents have appeared in court after their children failed to attend school.
A mother and father have been fined more than £2,000 having failed to send their child to school.
Edzibalds Brails and Agnesa Stepane, of Warren Quarry Lane, Worsbrough Common, were fined in their absence at Barnsley Magistrates’ Court.
They did not ensure their child attended school and were both told to pay a £660 fine, a victim surcharge for £264 and costs of £90, totalling £2,028.
And a mother has been fined £1,104 for failing to send her child to school.
Kaylie Price, of Hall Broome Gardens, Bolton-upon-Dearne, was found guilty in her absence at Barnsley Magistrates’ Court.
The 29-year-old will pay a fine of £660, a victim surcharge of £264 and court costs of £180.
