BARNSLEY Hospital has celebrated its administration workers.

Administration and clerical teams operate in every speciality and area across the hospital and, for ‘Admin Day’, bosses said they are an ‘integral part’ of keeping the hospital running.

This year, hospital directors and other senior staff visited administration teams throughout the trust to show their gratitude, and to find out more about how admin teams support the crucial work of the hospital, its teams and ultimately contribute to the care of patients.

Hospital chief executive Dr Richard Jenkins said admin teams across the trust were ‘a vital cog’ in keeping the hospital operational.

“I want to thank all our admin colleagues in every area – Admin Day is about the importance of letting colleagues know how much we appreciate them, and the huge amount of crucial work they do,” he added.

“Without them, we simply couldn’t function.”
