A TEENAGE cyclist suffered life-changing injuries in a road traffic collision in Hoyland Common last night.

Officers were called to Olympus Way, Hoyland Common, at 9.12pm to reports of a collision involving a cyclist and a Citroen Picasso.

A road closure was in place for a period of time to allow emergency services to attend the scene.

The cyclist, a 14-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with leg injuries which are believed to be life-changing and he remains in hospital at this time. Enquiries are ongoing.
