SEVERAL overnight closures on the M1 have been announced over the next week to allow for repairs and improvement work.
Motorists are being warned to expect slight delays on the M1 near Barnsley tonight.
From 9pm until 5am tomorrow, the slip road at junction 37 southbound will be closed for carriageway repairs. Delays of under ten minutes are anticipated.
Also, motorists are being told to expect delays of around ten minutes when the slip road at junction 37 northbound closes from 8pm on Tuesday until 5am on Wednesday.
It will be closed due to ‘technology works’.
And slip road improvements are also expected to cause delays later in the week. From junction 37 to 38 northbound, overnight slip road closures will be made from 8pm on Thursday to 5am on Saturday. Delays of around ten minutes are expected for motorists.
